Jay Holloway

Jay Holloway is the Executive Consultant for the Holloway Media Group.

He is an experienced multimedia professional with decades of leadership achievements in broadcast, higher education, and large church environments. His expertise includes both traditional and new media platforms, including radio/television, web, social media, eLearning, marketing and advertising activities.  As a Certified Program Planner, Certified Virtual Session Producer, and Certified Christian Nonprofit Leader, he’s results driven and a team player with proven ability to develop and achieve specific brand goals that are aligned with organizational business plans.

Previously, Jay served as Director of Production at FBCG International and in multiple capacities at his alma mater, Howard University, as Director of the NABEF Media Sales Institute, Manager and Founder of HBCU SiriusXM Channel 142, member of the WHUR-FM management team, Advisor to WHBC 96.3 HD3, and Assistant Professor in the School of Communications.  While in North Carolina, he was a Director at NC State University, an Executive with PBS-NC; Assistant Vice President / General Manager and founder of the school’s commercial radio and TV stations, WAUG-AM & TV, where he established the Communications Department at St. Augustine’s University.  During that time he became a Certified Radio Sales Manager and Certified Radio Marketing Consultant.  His media leadership skills were first developed as the general manager for two-years at WHBC, Howard University’s student-operated radio station.  While in Washington, DC he worked in sales and as a top-rated announcer at WHUR-FM, and he also worked in the general manager’s office at WHUT-TV.  After graduation he worked at KBLX-FM/KRE-AM in San Francisco

Jay Holloway holds a B.A. in Broadcast Management from Howard University, and an M.A. in Educational Media Technology from NC Central University.  Further professional studies included:  Northwestern University, Kellogg Graduate School of Management – Accounting & Finance; NC State University – Project ManagementUniversity of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business – Broadcast Sales Manager’s Program; UNC Hussman School of Journalism and Media, Broadcast Management and Organizational Communications; and Syracuse University, Newhouse School – Minority Broadcast Management & Media Ownership Program.  Jay finds the time to remain active in his church, his local community and his alumni association.  When he’s not spending quality time with his beautiful wife and business partner, Katriel Holloway, or their son and a daughter, Winston and Faith; he enjoys playing golf and bass guitar.
